At Lime Wood
From one very English destination to another! A few weeks ago I hopped in the car to Lime Wood hotel in the New Forest for a night with Fresh. I definitely wasn’t going to pass up an opportunity for pictures with ponies and a bit of pampering.
I wasn’t overly familiar with Fresh before this trip. And by that, I mean, the nearest I’d got to a Fresh product was photographing the cute bike they have outside their Covent Garden store. In other words, clueless. But this trip was the perfect way to experience a proper introduction.
We arrived to tea and cake, shortly followed by a flower crown making class – and that kicked off the vibe for the rest of the trip, which was themed around the latest addition to their rose range, the Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner. In a room filled with rose petals, we were told of the process involved in making the product, which comes with rose petals floating in the bottle. By the time we were finished I was itching to get back to my room to test it all in a relaxing bath.
And that I did! I savour any opportunity for a bath as we don’t have one at home, so I made the most of it, bubbles, rose face mask and all.
The next day we were treated to some pampering in the hotel’s beautiful spa. It was only the second facial that I’ve ever had, and it was totally divine. A wander around the hotel grounds (and a go on the tree swing) and it was time to head back to the big city.
So, the product. Is it any good? I’m the prime candidate for hydrating products, as the biggest problem my skin suffers is dehydration. I’ve been using the rose toner, serum and moisturiser since arriving home, and my skin has been loving it. It’s definitely felt supple and I’ve not experienced dry patches before like I have in the past, so thumbs up from me!
